The Royal Society Publishing publishes ten journals across the biological, physical, mathematical and engineering sciences. This collection includes well renowned titles such as Philosophical Transactions, the very first scientific journal in history (1665).

 

The Royal Society Publishing is the publishing division of The Royal Society, a self-governing Fellowship of many of the world’s most distinguished scientists drawn from all areas of science, engineering, and medicine.  The Royal Society’s fundamental purpose, reflected in its founding Charters of the 1660s, is to recognise, promote, and support excellence in science and to encourage the development and use of science for the benefit of humanity.

 

The Royal Society has played a part in some of the most fundamental, significant, and life-changing discoveries in scientific history and Royal Society scientists continue to make outstanding contributions to science in many research areas.

In the last year, the Royal Society have been instrumental in transformative agreements worldwide.

The 2021 Royal Society journals catalogue has a special acknowledgement of Australia featuring Robert Irwin’s turtle photo on the cover.
